Jorja Fox (Sara Siddle)

Jorja Fox was born on July 7th, 1968 in New York. She was raised in Florida but moved back to New York after winning a modelling contest in Florida. She worked as a model touring various places including Milan. At 18, Jorja decided she wanted to focus on acting, she studied with veteran actor William Hickey at New Yorks 'Lee Strasberg Instituite'. Her first movie role was in 1999 in a movie called 'Kill-off'.
 
She is part of a band with her best friend Heather Grody. It is called the Honey pot. She is the guitarist.

Earned a B.S. degree from the School of Speech (now the School of Communcations) at Northwestern University (Evanston, Illinois).

In the ER episode "Take These Broken Wings", the character played by Marg Helgenberger wears a Northwestern pullover. This is the university that the actress attended.

Has a son: Hugh Howard Rosenberg; born Oct 21, 1990 and named after Marg's father.

William Peterson (Gil Grissom)

William Peterson was born on 21 Feb 1953 in Evanston, Illinois, USA.
 
While he excelled at sports, his academic grades were poor, so while at Idaho State University his advisors recommended he take acting classes in order to boost his grade point average, since them he has been acting. He earned his Actor's Equity card in 1979 at the Victory Gardens Theater. With longtime friend Cindy Chvatal and actor Gary Cole, they co-founded the Remains Theater. His Broadway debuted was in a revival of Tennessee Williams' Night of the Iguana. He has appeared in many plays at the Chicago Threatre.
